WELCOME TO
ALA ALUMNI
"Welcome home" to a new community for former ALA members ALA Alumni!
ALA is not an ordinary association and its role with its members has
historically gone beyond what is typical for professional associations.
The "ALA family" and community creates and involves ties that often don't
exist in other organizations. To its members, ALA becomes a place to
belong, to excel, to network, to learn, to create and to share. Lifelong
friendships are formed and nurtured in ALA. All of those things can be
indispensable in life and many former members, as they move on to other
careers or retire, have told us they miss the ALA family and the ties
they forged to the legal management profession and to other members.
ALA Alumni is a unique program within the Association – and within
the world of associations in general – to help former members keep their
ties with ALA, the profession and each other. It's a new branch on the
family tree and a way to stay connected, both formally and informally.
If you are a former ALA member, you already possess most of the
qualifications for joining ALA Alumni! Please check out the information
in this special alumni Web site on joining – and on the sorts of programs,
activities and resources that we are planning and developing to keep our
alumni in the family.
Welcome home!
